15 Swiss students are doing an internship at UNEC under the guidance of Lukas Baschung, director of the graduate center of HES – SO Higher School of Management and Economics, which is a part of Western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and coordinator Wirtz Julia.
AzEdu.az reports that on the first day of the internship program, which will last from September 12 to 24, a campus tour was organized at UNEC for Swiss students and delegations, accompanied by Nargiz Hajiyeva, an employee of the Foreign Relations Department of the International Cooperation Department. The guests got acquainted with the Career Center, 24/7 library, Bloomberg laboratory, UNEC External Center, auditoriums.
In the meeting with Neman Muradli, vice-rector for international relations and programs of UNEC, business representatives were given detailed information about UNEC’s internationalization policy, research environment, international projects and programs.
Then the delegation participated in a business meeting with the director of the UNEC Business School, associate professor Nazim Hajiyev, and the head of the Department of Economics and Business Administration, associate professor Sevar Mammadova. During the meeting, Nazim Hajiyev spoke about the establishment of bilateral cooperation relations between UNEC and HES-SO on the MBA program, majors and new programs of MBA of UNEC.
The Swiss guests met with the director of the Russian School of Economics, associate professor Mansur Barkhudarov, and discussed the opening of a one-semester exchange program in Russian language between HES-SO and UNEC with a scholarship for RIM students, and the development of cooperation between the Cognitive Economy Center and the HES-SO Neuro-Marketing Center.
It should be noted that UNEC is the first and only Azerbaijani university that cooperates with HES – SO Higher School of Management and Economics, which is a part of Western Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Switzerland.
During the intensive internship program, which will be organized for the first time on September 12-24, HES-SO students will learn about the role of Azerbaijan in the Swiss market, Azerbaijan-Swiss economic relations, assessment of the attractiveness of the Azerbaijani market for Swiss enterprises, business environment, foreign trade, green energy policy and they will get valuable knowledge about the measures implemented in green economy at the lectures of invited experts from local and foreign companies and institutions.
