Martyr Agil Mirzayev’s diploma was presented to his family on his birthday
August 27 is the birthday of Agil Mirzaliyev, a graduate of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), a martyr of the Patriotic War, he would have been 22 years old if he had lived.
On the occasion of Agil Mirzaliyev’s birthday, a commemorative ceremony was held in front of the martyr’s grave in the Alley of Martyrs in Ismayilli. In addition to family members of the martyr, Ismayilli district executive head Nahid Bagirov, honored art worker, personal pensioner of the President, colonel Abdulla Gurbani, UNEC Dean of Finance and Accounting Faculty Hafis Hajiyev, deputy deans Azer Garayev and Abdulkarim Sadigov, chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee attended the event. Rufat Suleymanli also participated.
The UNEC collective paid tribute to the dear memory of the martyr, planted flowers and arranged flowers in front of the grave.
Faculty dean Hafis Hajiyev presented Agil Mirzaliyev’s diploma to his family. He said that our victory won at the cost of the blood and lives of brave sons like Agil, our brave soldiers and veterans, ended the 30-year longing for the Motherland, and said that our people are proud of such sons of ours, they are an example for future generations. He pointed out that every member of the martyr’s family is valuable for the UNEC family.
At the commemoration ceremony, the martyr’s mother was presented with a medal “for the liberation of Kalbajar”.
Agil Mirzaliyev was born on August 27, 1999 in Ismayilli district. In 2005-2016, he studied at secondary school No. 1 named after I. Hasanov in Ismayilli district. Agil, who was always distinguished by his intellectual level during his school years, was the winner of republican subject Olympiads and knowledge competitions many times. In 2016, after graduating from high school with excellent grades, he was admitted to the accounting and auditing specialty of UNEC, having scored 613 points in the entrance exam. After graduating in 2020, he went to military service.
Agil Mirzaliyev, who served in the Special Forces, was an active participant in the Second Patriotic War, which began on September 27. He fought bravely in the battles of Murovdag, Jabrayil, Fuzuli and Hadrut. On October 20, 2020, he was heroically martyred in the heavy fighting in the direction of Tugh village of Khojavand district. He was buried on October 23 in Shahidlar Khiyaban in Ismayilli.
Martyr Mirzaliyev Agil was awarded the medals “For the sake of the country”, “Brave fighter”, “For the liberation of Khojavend”, “For the liberation of Kalbajar”.
