The representatives of Harvard, Bonn, California, Michigan, Vienna, Florida, Sydney Universities and other high schools participated as honorary reporters at the conference where representatives of leading universities of the world had taken part.
The conference started with reading of the Russian President’s congratulatory letter by the first Deputy Prime Minister of Russian Federation and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov. First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov, the chairman of Federal Assembly State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes of the Russian Federation A.M.Makarov, president of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Russia, and president of Russia’s Research University- Higher School of Economics A.N.Shokhin, the first Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia K.V.Yudayeva, rector of Russia’s National Research University- Higher School of Economics Y.I.Kuzminov and others made speeches in the meeting.
State administration, macroeconomics and economic growth, international relations, world economy, social policy, financial institutes and other issues were discussed at the conference.
During the meeting of the UNEC rector, Professor Adalat Muradov with the rector of the Higher School of Economics Yaroslav Kuzminov, bilateral cooperation opportunities were widely discussed, and the agreement on the start of work on dual diplomas was reached.
A.Muradov touched upon the possibilities of joint use of UNEC Derbent branch potential within the framework of mutual interest and cooperation. The UNEC rector spoke about the prospects of organizing various educational programs at the Higher School of Economics on the basis of the Russian School of Economics (RSE) which had been operating for more than two years, the joint research, the possibility of publishing results in scientific publications of impact factor which are in SCOPUS and Web of Science platform.
Noting that HSE and UNEC are moving in the same direction, the rector of Higher School of Economics Y.Kuzminov emphasized that partnership between the universities should be actively developed. The rector of HSE suggested making joint “online” and “offline” education programs, (as well as on the Coursera platform) making joint UNEC-HSE courses, inviting UNEC doctoral students to participate in the Russian PostDoc program. Thus, the UNEC doctoral candidate will have the opportunity to study and teach at HSE two years after the dissertation defense.
Rector Y.Kuzminov touched upon issues such as the establishment of joint research laboratories, participation in network educational programs, participation of UNEC students in the Olympiad of the Russian President’s project “I’m a professional” (“Я профессионал”). In turn, the Vice-Rector for Educational Programs and Post-graduate Studies at HSE Sergei Rochin said that currently there were all opportunities for the development of joint educational projects, dual diploma programs. A decision was made to visit UNEC by the representatives of High School of Economics in May for a more detailed discussion of the proposals made from both sides.
The rector of UNEC, professor Adalat Muradov had meetings with Marek Dombrovski from the Breygel Institute (Belgium), honorary reporter from Florida Atlantic University Ali Farazmand, Maurizio Pommella from Siena university, Ivona Paulas (Poland) from Katowice University of Economics, Fuad Alasgarov from HSE, Vice President of the HSE Ivan Prostakov, head of HSE International Development Department Marina Batalina, Director of HSE Institute for Industry and Market Research, Professor Andrey Yakovlev, Lorenso Kostantino from IDP company.
Also, the rector of UNEC, Professor A.Muradov visited Moscow Humanitarian Economic University, leader of inclusive education in Russia and met with the rector Vagif Bayramov. At the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation and the work done in the direction of training highly qualified personnel. The completion of the work on the implementation of the double diploma program among the universities was discussed.
