The next meeting related with the differential salary system with the professor-teaching staff of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) was held on November 13 at the fourth academic building of the university.
The Secretary to the Rector Elshan Baghirzade delivered the information about the system begun to be applied at UNEC for the first time in Azerbaijan; he spoke about the benefits of the innovation based on the experiences of the leading world universities to education system.
It was noted that all of full- time and part- time teaching staff members will be able to benefit from the system. Three main directions are taken into account in evaluating the academic staff’s performance. Scientific activity, teaching activity and his/her own development activity is included here and the “Teacher’s Annual Performance Score” is assessed. Salaries of the teachers ranking in 1-10 places will be increased 2 times, 11-30 places 1.7 times, 31-60 places 1.5 times 61-100 places 1.2 times.
After the information is submitted proposals by the academic staff require benefitting from the system were discussed and their question were responded.
