PhD in Mathematics Akbarova Sevda Bakir
She was born on December 18, 1966, in the city of Baku. In 1984, after graduating from school No. 129, she entered the faculty of Applied Mathematics at ASU (now BSU). After graduating from the university with honours in 1989, She began working as a young specialist in the “Algorithmization and programming of economic issues” department of the General Computing Center of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan. During her tenure, she was promoted from the rank of specialist III degrees to the position of a chief specialist. She resigned voluntarily in 1999.
In 2006, she started working as a teacher at the Sumgayit branch of the Azerbaijan Teachers’ Institute and was promoted to associate professor.
On 14.12.2010 she defended her thesis on “Asymptotic analysis of the theory of elasticity for a non-uniform small-thickness transverse-isotropic cylinder along the radius” and received the title of PhD in Mathematics.

From 2014-to 2017, she worked at the Department of “Methods of teaching mathematics”, and then “Mathematics and its teaching methods” at Sumgayit State University. In 2015, she was awarded an honorary diploma by the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Educators of Azerbaijan.
On September 15, 2017, he was hired to the “Mathematics” department of Azerbaijan State University of Economics. She currently works as an associate professor at the department of Mathematics and Statistics.
By the decision of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 27.09.2017, she was awarded the title of associate professor.
She is the author of more than 10 scientific articles, 2 textbooks and 1 methodical manual. She has repeatedly participated in international and national conferences.
She is married and has three children.
