Born on December 18, 1980, in Baku, Azerbaijan.
She completed her bachelor’s degree with distinction in Romance-Germanic Philology at the Azerbaijan University of Languages (ADU) from 1997 to 2001. From 2001 to 2004, she earned a master’s degree in Linguistics, also with distinction, at the same university. Between 2012 and 2018, she pursued doctoral studies in the field of Foreign Language Teaching Methodology at ADU.
Her professional career began in 2003 as a part-time lecturer at AUL, later advancing to full-time positions in the departments of Practical English and Foreign Language Teaching Methodology, where she served as a senior lecturer.
In 2021, she joined the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) as a senior lecturer. In March 2022, she was appointed as the coordinator for B1 language proficiency. Since October 2023, she has been serving as the Coordinator of the Foreign Language Knowledge Assessment Center at UNEC.
Ms. Safiyeva has obtained the British Council Aptis C-Level certification and holds a distinction certificate in the Digital Skills training organized by UNEC. She has also published several scientific articles in the field of “Foreign Language Teaching Methodology.”
With extensive experience in teaching and methodology, Ms. Safiyeva continues her academic and professional contributions at UNEC.
