Born on August 24, 1987, in Baku.
After completing secondary education at Baku Atatürk Lyceum in 2005, Seymur Najafov pursued higher education at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Specializing in “International Economic Relations,” he successfully graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2009 and later obtained a master’s degree in 2012. Further advancing his academic endeavors, Seymur Najafov engaged in doctoral studies from 2014 to 2018 at the Department of Accounting and Auditing at UNEC (Azerbaijan State University of Economics), focusing on accounting.
Seymur Najafov’s professional journey began in 2010 at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where he served as a treasurer and accountant at the Supply Base. This role was followed by a tenure at “Azersu” Open Joint Stock Company from 2012 to 2014. During this period, he held positions including accountant, head of the Accounting and Reporting Department of the Central Laboratory, and Deputy Head of the Accounting and Reporting Department within the Management Apparatus.

In 2014, Seymur Najafov transitioned to UNEC, where his career in academia and administration took shape. Initially appointed as Head of the Education Fees Accounting and Banking Operations Department within the Financial and Supply Department, he advanced to become Deputy Director and Deputy Chief Accountant of the department between 2015 and 2021.
On December 15, 2021, he was appointed as Director and Chief Accountant of UNEC’s Financial and Supply Department, a position he continues to hold with distinction.
