The delegation led by Akmal Saidov, the first deputy chairman of the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, visited UNEC.
In the meeting held with the participation of UNEC Rector Professor Adalat Muradov and the heads of relevant structures, discussions were held on higher education, sustainable development and green economy.
Rector Adalat Muradov gave detailed information to the Uzbek delegation about the electronic capabilities of Digital UNEC, distance and hybrid education, electronic library, activities of the Center for Sustainable Development and Green Economy named after Nizami Ganjavi. Akmal Saidov, the first deputy chairman of the Chamber, highly appreciated the electronic university model of UNEC and emphasized the necessity of applying this practice in Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions.
At the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached on organizing joint conferences, conducting research in the field of green economy and sustainable development.
At the end, Akmal Saidov was presented with the book “Exploring The Green Economy: ISSUES, Challenges and Benefits” published by UNEC in English.
