The UNEC collective laid a wreath in front of the martyr’s grave in Jabrayil settlement No. 3, Bilasuvar district, and commemorated his dear memory with respect.
Teachers and students then visited the martyr’s family. The UNEC family met with the martyr’s mother and listened to the memories of Boyukaga’s childhood and youth. His mother said that Buyukagan loved his homeland with all his heart and that the motto of his life was “Karabakh, Jabrayl, the Motherland, indivisible martyrs do not die”. He said that this slogan is still in the corner created in the martyr’s room.
At the meeting, the dean of the Faculty of Economics, associate professor Asiman Guliyev presented the diploma of Buyukaga Shahverdiyev to the mother of the martyr, stating that he is a permanent graduate of UNEC, and said that his memory will always be cherished.
Chairman of UNEC THIK, Rufat Suleymanli, presented the university’s Honorary Decree and student Nazrin Aliyeva’s private painting to the martyr’s family.
Shahverdiyev to Buyukaga
Shahverdiyev was born in Buyukaga on June 15, 1998 in a tent town built for internally displaced persons in Bilasuvar district. He lost his father when he was a child. Buyukaga, who studied at secondary school No. 10 in Jabrayil district, was selected among his peers for his education, knowledge and skills. He has been awarded diplomas and awards many times for his exemplary steps.
In 2015, after graduating from high school with excellent grades, he entered the Faculty of Economics of UNEC. After graduating in 2019, he went to military service. He participated in the Patriotic War, which started on September 27, 2020, while serving in the military unit No. “N” located in the city of Sumgayit. Jabrayil participated in the battles for the liberation of Fuzuli. Boyukaga, whose military duty was a mortar, destroyed a large number of the enemy’s manpower and equipment. Since his childhood, his love for Karabakh and Gabriel had a great role in his deep study and mastering of those territories, and he applied this knowledge very precisely during the battle. Buyukaga Shahverdiyev was heroically martyred in the battles for Fuzuli region on October 8. He was buried on October 9 in the Alley of Martyrs built in Jabrayil settlement.
After his death, he was awarded the “For the Fatherland” and “For the Liberation of Jabrayil” medals.
