The “Energy Supply Issues” Working Group of the Inter-Administrative Center, operating under the Coordinating Headquarters for the centralized resolution of issues in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held its next meeting in a videoconference format

xx9ebe38e05cabfa990The “Energy Supply Issues” Working Group of the Inter-Administrative Center, operating under the Coordinating Headquarters for the centralized resolution of issues in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held its next meeting in a videoconference format.

During the meeting, attended by representatives of relevant state institutions within the working group, updates were provided on the progress of work related to the reconstruction of energy facilities in the region, the restoration of necessary infrastructure, and the implementation of decisions made at previous meetings. It was emphasized that to meet the established deadlines, it is essential to coordinate the ongoing and planned work of relevant institutions in the liberated territories and intensify coordinated efforts and information exchange.

As part of the meeting, the Nizami Ganjavi Sustainable Development and Green Economy Research Center of Azerbaijan State University of Economics delivered a report titled “Eco-innovations and Eco-Industrial Parks.” The report discussed the economic, ecological, and social benefits of eco-innovations and eco-industrial parks, focusing on waste reduction and optimization of energy consumption. The report also provided insights into the experiences of various countries in establishing more environmentally efficient industrial parks.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the ongoing monitoring of the electricity and heat supply to strategic facilities in Shusha city, with a presentation on the analysis of data obtained through on-site inspections. The current status of the construction of boiler houses, associated electrical substations, intra-neighborhood and indoor heating systems, as well as progress on the water supply of boiler houses, was reviewed.

Discussions also took place regarding the construction of “Khudafarin” and “Giz Galasi” hydroelectric power stations in Jabrayil district, which has been liberated from occupation.

The report on the status of connection to the Karabakh Digital GeoInformation System and information exchange by the State Service of Real Estate Affairs under the Ministry of Economy was also discussed. It was reported that most of the relevant state institutions within the Working Group are fully connected to the system.

During the meeting, various other issues arising from the implementation of previously adopted decisions were also addressed.

The Coordinating Staff, headed by Samir Nuriyev, the Head of the Presidential Administration, was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 24, 2020.
