The presentation of the book “Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in Memories” is held at UNEC
The presentation of the book “Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in Memories” prepared by the West Azerbaijan Community has been held at UNEC.
The event was attended by the author of the idea of the book, Professor Vagif Shadlinski from the famous “91s”, awarded the Order of Glory, MP Hikmat Mammadov, Chairman of the Committee of the Milli Majlis Musa Guliyev, the rector of UNEC Professor Adalat Muradov and the academic staff of the university.
Speaking at the opening of the event, the rector prof. Adalat Muradov spoke about the importance of researching the rich heritage of the Great Leader and said that on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, about 170 events on various areas of the genius’s activities had been held at UNEC, and these events are being continued. The rector pointed out that the historical opinions, and decrees of the Great Leader reflected in the book regarding the protection of the national and cultural values formed in Western Azerbaijan and the reconstruction of cultural monuments are of great importance in ensuring the integrity of Azerbaijan.
Professor Vagif Shadlinski, the author of the idea of the book, pointed out that the genius of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev carries great weight in the history, national-political thinking and state consciousness of our nation, and every page of the life of this genius is a magnificent monument: : “One of the greatest services of the Great Leader was the protection of our compatriots who lived in Western Azerbaijan, and the attention shown to them. During the meeting with the West Azerbaijan Community, President Ilham Aliyev stated that Heydar Aliyev’s policy should live, and this policy will strengthen Azerbaijan even more. We created this book based on the attention and concern shown by the Great Leader to the West Azerbaijanis and the views expressed by President Ilham Aliyev before the Community. The book contains the writings of 56 authors from Western Azerbaijan, based on facts, about various areas of the Great Leader’s activities, the greatness of his personality, and his high human qualities.”
Speaking at the event, the scientific editor of the book, Deputy Hikmat Babaoglu spoke about the new stage of the history of our country’s national struggle, deputy professor Musa Guliyev spoke about the incomparable services of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the formation of Azerbaijan’s statehood. Head of the Department of UNEC, Professor Avaz Alakbarov shared his memories of National Leader Heydar Aliyev with the participants.
At the end of the meeting, which continued with sincere and pleasant memories of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, Rector Adalat Muradov thanked everyone who contributed to the book’s creation.
