Implementation of the “UNEC 100” Development Strategy was started
A meeting dedicated to the UNEC 100 Development Strategy has been held today at UNEC.
At the event attended by the heads of structural divisions, rector, Professor Adalat Muradov discussed the work on the scientific activity within the strategy.
A.Muradov emphasized that the UNEC research, which has a great scientific potential, should be regarded as a key criterion for our activity. He noted that special attention would be paid to researchers, and SWOT analysis of UNEC’s scientific activities would be conducted.
There has been intended to adapt the training of masters and PhD students to the progressive world experience, to create a world-class Brain Center at UNEC in line with UNEC targets in the field of scientific activity. It was noted that the goal of the UNEC is to increase the financial capacity of scholarships and ordered research in the university budget, increase the number of articles of scientists published in Web of Science, Scopus platforms, and the inclusion of UNEC journals in these platforms.
Professor Zakhid Mammadov, director of the department of Organization and Management of scientific activities, made a report. He spoke about the department′s duties, work done in the direction of improvement and development of scientific activity within the framework of the Development Strategy.
Assistant Professor Hamid Hamidov, head of the doctoral studies department, touched upon the steps to be taken in the field of activity, involving of PhD students into UNEC that are citizens of foreign countries, improvement of the works in doctoral studies.
Professor Yadulla Hasanli, director of the Economic Research Institute under UNEC, said that the ERI, which had won the grant competition announced by ANAS, would continue to work on the project this year, and spoke about the work done in the field of obtaining scientific grants.
Director of UNEC Business School, Associate Professor Nazim Hajiyev said in his speech that since 2012, the number of scientific references to “The Journal of Economoc Sciences: Theory and Practice” had risen by 56%, and it would be soon included in the Scopus platform.
