The Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and the Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB) from China jointly organized an international seminar dedicated to COP29 under the theme “China-Azerbaijan Cooperation for Green and Low-Carbon Sustainable Development.”
The seminar commenced with opening remarks by Zhang Jianyu, Chief Development Director of the Belt and Road International Green Development Coalition (BRIGC); Elkhyar Ziyadov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Economic Zones Development Agency; and Associate Professor Nazim Hajiyev, Director of UNEC Business School.
Speakers emphasized that Azerbaijan’s selection as the host of COP29 reflects the deep trust and recognition it has earned internationally. They also highlighted Azerbaijan’s role as a global advocate in combating climate change.
