Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) as the coordinator of two different calls of the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission won Erasmus+ (KA2) and the Jean Monnet module program at the same time.
The project “Green and sustainable global economic improvement in Azerbaijani universities: renewable energy sources and climate change mitigation (REFRESH)” developed and presented under the coordination of UNEC, has been accepted for financing by the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission.
The goal of the REFRESH project, which has a total cost of 703 thousand euros, is to lay the foundation for quality education on renewable energy sources in Azerbaijani universities. In this regard, the project will contribute to the training of local personnel in universities on renewable energy sources and to the strategic document “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for socio-economic development”.
The project consists of 15 partners, including 6 local, 4 European universities and non-governmental organizations.
UNEC is also the winner of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet module “Digital Entrepreneurship Strategies for Sustainable Europe (DigiShip)” this year. The project with a total cost of 30,000 euros aims to increase the practicality of the digital entrepreneurship course at UNEC by adopting the best practices of the EU.
