Presentation of the book “Arteries of Eurasia” is held at UNEC
The presentation ceremony of the book “Arteries of Eurasia” authored by the well-known economist-expert, UNEC teacher Eldaniz Amirov has been held.
The presentation ceremony organized by the Library Information Center was attended by members of parliament, heads of various state institutions, well-known political scientists, economists, media representatives and other guests, along with UNEC employees.
Speaking at the opening of the event, vice-rector, associate professor Shaiq Asgarov expressed his satisfaction with the presentation of the book of UNEC graduate, well-known economist Eldeniz Amirov, dedicated to the successful corridor strategy of President Ilham Aliyev, at UNEC. Sh. Asgarov shared his views on the relevance and importance of the topic covered by the book with the participants and wished the author success.
Eldaniz Amirov, the deputy head of the department of SME, the lecturer of UNEC, informed about the book “Arteries of Eurasia”, which was created for more than 2 years: “The book is about more than 30 transport, communication and energy corridors of Eurasia, over which the USA, China, Russia and other world giants are fighting in addition to Azerbaijan. Here, the history of the creation of those corridors, geography, technical and economic indicators, participating countries and the conflicting interests of these countries, the wars for each component of the corridor, and extensive analyzes of their perspectives were given.”
The author noted that the book thoroughly analyzed the details of how each of the 10 transport-communication and energy corridors created at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev became the main component of global geopolitics separately.
Then the director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources Javid Abdullayev, the head of Pasha Holding Fuad Ibrahimov, MPs Jala Ahmadova, Aydin Huseynov, adviser to the Minister of Energy Zamina Aliyeva made a speech. They spoke about the importance of the book, which covers all components of the corridor strategy of the head of the country. They said that the history, routes, technical and economic parameters of each of the more than 30 transport-communication and energy corridors of the Eurasian continent and extensive analyses of their future are reflected in the book. The speakers noted that the book will be received with great interest in the countries of the region and in Europe.
