The presentation of the textbook “Migration” funded by the European
The first presentation of the textbook “Migration” financed by the European Union has been held at UNEC.
The Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Assoc. Professor Fariz Ahmadov who made a speech at the presentation ceremony organized jointly by UNEC Council of Women Researchers, International Centre for Migration Policy Development and Library Information Centre (ICMPD) emphasized that holding the presentation of the first book published in the field of migration at UNEC is a happy occasion.
The vice-rector informed about the events organized for the purpose of social integration of foreigners at UNEC, the research conducted at UNEC Research Centres in the direction of migration and security, climate change, and gender issues. He emphasized that the book “Migration” published in the Azerbaijani and English languages will be useful in the teaching of social work at UNEC, as well as in the direction of expanding research and education on migration, which is approached from an interdisciplinary aspect in the globalized world.
Then Saltanat Mammadova, director of the Baku office of the International Center for the Development of Migration Policy, spoke about the book’s contribution to the training of experts in the field of migration and other areas. He drew attention to the importance of expanding cooperation with UNEC in conducting migration training and seminars, in the process of more effective integration of foreigners.
After Nargiz Hajiyeva, head of UNEC Council of Women Researchers, co-author of the book, project management officer of ICMPD, Lamiya Rzayeva-Ahmedli, researcher of UNEC CWR, other co-authors Aygül Abbaszadeh, Fuad Chiragov gave detailed information about the chapters of the book, the event discussions continued.
At the end, the book was signed by the authors and presented to the participants.
