UNEC hosts the opening of the Food Safety Laboratory named after Aziz Sanjar
Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) hosts the opening of the Food Safety Laboratory named after Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Professor Aziz Sanjar.
The opening of the laboratory which had been established at the 3rd educational building of UNEC with the support of BP was attended by Nobel Laureate Professor Aziz Sanjar, the rector of UNEC Professor Adalat Muradov and BP Vice President Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli.
While getting acquainted with the laboratory equipped with modern technologies and equipment, Aziz Sanjar was told that the laboratory operates under the department of “Engineering and Applied Sciences”.
The laboratory will conduct scientific and practical investigations, studies and expertise, assess the compliance of food products with relevant standards and requirements, as well as laboratory analysis of food quality indicators. Proposals, normative-legal acts, methodical materials will be developed to improve the legislation in the field of food, scientific and practical substantiation of reforms in the field of food technology will be carried out, too.
