A Round- table discussion held at UNEC: “Economic Efficiency and Development Prospects of Cotton- growing in Azerbaijan in modern times”
A round-table discussion has been held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). The round-table organized by the UNEC’s Scientific-Research Institute of Economic Studies was dedicated to “Economic Efficiency and Development Prospects of Cotton- growing in Azerbaijan in modern times”.
Head of the Department of Generalization and Statistical Analysis of the Ministry of Agriculture Firdovsi Fikretzade presented the results of the study on the prospects of cotton production in Azerbaijan. F.Fikretzade noted that the favorable climate and resources exist in the country for the development of cotton industry which is the most profitable area of agriculture. He has highlighted the importance of the implementation of stimulating measures in order to increase the interest in this area, creating a wider range of access to preferential loans to farmers and leasing services.
