Training on “Skills of using electronic resources” and “Library ethics” is held at UNEC
Within the framework of the “Reading Culture” project dedicated to the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” the training has been held on “Skills of using electronic resources” and “Library ethics” by the UNEC Library-Information Center.
Opening the ceremony, the director of UNEC LIC, Ph.D. in history, and the director of LIC Adila Abdullayeva spoke about the project «Reading habits». She gave information about the benefits of reading habits in order to form a reading culture among the students. A.Abdullayeva spoke about the countries ranked first in the world culture index and their reading habits. She also brought to the attention of the event participants the statistics on the library use of students studying in the academic building No. 3. She also gave information about the newly bought books for the library, called the students to take advantage of the library and its resources, as well as to actively participate in the organized events related to reading culture.
Narmina Abdullayeva, the director of library No. 3, gave information about the electronic library of the UNEC Library Information Center, electronic catalog, and international databases such as Emerald Publishing, IPR Smart publishing houses, and EBSCO, which the center subscribes to. She talked about Open Access research databases (ECONBİZ, Iksadyayinevi, Hindawi, ARTstor, IEEE digital library, etc.), their use, and search possibilities.
Then Farrukh Samadli, an employee of library No. 3, made a report on the general use of the library and the rules of ethical behavior.
The student-teacher staff of UNEC Design faculty, employees of Kaspi Lyceum, Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku Higher Oil School, and students of ASUAC and Humanities College under ASUAC also took part in the training.
The training ended by answering the participants’ questions.
