A meeting of the Scientific Council is held at UNEC
The next meeting of the Scientific Council has been held at UNEC.
At the scientific council Associate Professor, and vice-rector for educational affairs Garay Musayev, made a speech with the presentation on the analysis of the organization of hybrid classes for the 1st semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. G. Musayev stated that UNEC organizes hybrid lessons on 53 subjects and announced the results of the analyzes conducted to measure the quality of hybrid lessons and the survey among students. He said that according to the survey, 91 percent of students were satisfied with the level of technical preparation of lessons taught in hybrid form. 62 percent of students wanted all lessons to be held in a hybrid format.
Garay Musayev made suggestions on the replacement of classes that had coincided with holidays, conditions for acceptance of medical certificates submitted for students’ health, as well as determination of good reasons for re-attendance in exams, calculation of the absence limit for admission to exams in relevant subjects, determination of the time of mid-term evaluation and sessional exams and other issues. After discussion, the proposals were accepted by the council members.
Then the director of the Examination Center, associate professor Sohrab Isayev, made a report on the results of the winter examination session and preparations for the spring examination session. At the same time, he voiced suggestions about the examination rules to be applied in UNEC from the 2023/2024 academic year. After hearing the proposals, it was approved.
Associate Professor Ragif Gasimov, the vice-rector for digitalization, made a presentation on the results of the organization of education conducted on the basis of the “Flipped Education” model at UNEC from 2022/2023. R. Gasimov reported on the results of monitoring the organization of teaching in the groups where the “Flipped education” method is applied, mastery and quality indicators by subjects, advantages of the teaching method, evaluation of student knowledge, results of student satisfaction surveys, comparative analysis of 36 subjects on intermediate evaluation. He also made suggestions regarding the more effective application of the “Flipped education” method from the next academic year.
Associate Professor Sabuhi Tanriverdiyev, director of the correspondence and additional education center, informed about the hybrid organization of the summer semester at UNEC.
