Meeting with UNEC Students voluntarily participating in the I European Games
Meeting with the students participated in the I European Games as volunteers was held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on July 10.
A video consisting of the interesting incidents that the students faced within their activities as volunteers was demonstrated during the meeting. The video was of great interest by the students.
UNEC Rector, Dr. Adalat Muradov spoke about the organization of the I European Games in a highest level and the volunteers’ activity. He stressed the high value to the participation of volunteers provided by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the first Lady, European Games Organization Committee’s Chairman Mehriban Aliyeva.
Rector noted that 17 days of spectacular sporting event undoubtedly, can also be measured as a very big event for our country in economic terms. The I European Games gave an impetus to the human capital, as well as the development of the social capital in our country, which is crucial for sustainable economic development of the country.
The volunteers movement of 2657 UNEC students took an active part in the work of introducing our country to foreign citizens in the highest level worthily presented their nation, homeland and the university.
A decision on granting a letter of appreciation to each volunteer for their successful participation and to attach the letter to their portfolio was made in the end.
