The first at UNEC: “Leadership” mini-MBA certificate program kicks off
UNEC signed the next first. The “Leadership” Mini-MBA certificate program prepared by the UNEC Lifelong Education Center based on the proposal of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources was launched.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, the rector of UNEC Professor Adalat Muradov, the staff of the university, and the ministry took part in the presentation of the program.
The rector prof. Adalat Muradov pointed out that the mini-MBA program is a new project in the history of UNEC, and thanked Minister Mukhtar Babayev for the attention and trust shown to the university. He said that the trainings to be conducted by UNEC’s professional trainers will be important for both sides.
A.Muradov drew to the minister’s attention the fact that specialists in “Ecology” and “Ecological engineering” specialties are trained at UNEC. He put forward a proposal for cooperation for those students to have internships in the ministry as well as in subordinate institutions.
The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev pointed out that UNEC is the leading university in the country and expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with the university he graduated from. Expressing confidence that the program will play an important role in improving the leadership skills of the ministry’s employees, the minister noted that it would be useful for other state and private institutions to join this program.
Then the vice-rector for digitization, Associate Professor Ragif Gasimov, made a speech with a presentation about the “Leadership” mini-MBA certificate program. He said that the program was developed in order to improve the necessary knowledge and skills of employees working under the ministry in the direction of leadership and management. The training will be organized in 8 modules – leadership, strategic thinking and management, team building, time management, problem-solving, change management, and flexible and design-based directions.
At the end of the training, the knowledge and skills of the participants will be evaluated based on the Capstone Project/Case, and the participants who are positively evaluated will receive a certificate. The program will be conducted by UNEC professionals who have obtained certificates of qualification trainings under the international program “Soft Skills: Training of Trainers” in Israel.
