Meeting under the motto “Let’s Love Books” held at UNEC
Meeting under the motto “Let’s Love Books” has been held at the School of Business and Management of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). The meeting focused on familiarizing the students with the up-to-date economic literature catalogues. Heads of the Departments performing under the faculty, academic staff and students attended the meeting.
Mentioning the current situation of the library, Faculty Dean, Assistant Professor Miragha Ahmadov spoke about the work done in this field at UNEC: “Rector, Professor A.Muradov noted that the university library will be adapted to the leading world universities’ libraries in a short period of time”.
Branch Director of UNEC’s Central Library Svetlana Akhundova informed the students about the electronic library in detail spoke about the significance of communicating with books. She said that the library rich with economic bibliography in Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish and English. There are book funds, and stands for thematic exhibits and media also. Each book in book display was set in accordance with classification system “universal decimal” used world- wide.
The academic staff members of UNEC were interested in books read by the students and gave advice on books related with their major within the meeting. At the same time, Dean and Heads of Departments presented the books and teaching facilities published in 2015-2016 on relevant specialties to students. A number of books were gifted to the library fund.
