During the reception time, the students, parents, and ordinary citizens freely voice their appeals and concerns regarding the examination session or any issue regarding the activity of the UNEC. Only the members of the UNEC Public Supervisory Council listened the appeals of the students, parents and citizens. The appeals are accepted and answered on the “Open door” day, held for every media authority and the community representative, parent and the ordinary citizen.
The reception was attended by the members of the UNEC Supervisory Council, Honored Scientist, professor Shahlar Askerov, the head of the “XXI Century” Educational Center Etibar Aliyev, the Deputy Director of the “Trend” Information Agency Arzu Naghiyev, the Head of the Constitutional Research Fund, the member of the Joint Human Rights Group Alimammad Nuriyev, the Chairman of “Free Teachers” Public Union Malahat Murshudlu, the correspondent of “525 newspaper” Sevinj Garayeva, the Chairman of the Citizens’ Labor Rights Protection League Sahib Mammadov, the student rector Elmir Sadigov, which had been established with the purpose of ensuring the objective and transparent assessment of the students’ knowledge in the exam session.
The members of the Public Supervisory Council after accepting the appeals of the students and citizens regarding the examinations, met with the rector of UNEC, the professor Adalat Muradov, in order to take the appropriate measures for their solution and investigation. The information on the received appeals were given to the the rector, and was noted that, the appeals were related to exceeding absence rate limit, receiving the scientific position, changing the internship place, starting the pedagogical activity in a foreign country, and the exam results. Some of the appeals were resolved immediately at the meeting and the appropriate instructions were given for futher investigation in relation to others.
Within the framework of the meeting, the members of the Public Supervisory Council, expressing their views on the “Open door” day, underlined that the number of the appeals this year decreased, compared with the previous years, and this was appreciated as the positive outcome of the reforms continously implemented to improve the quality of education at UNEC. It was noted that the session and the overall examination process were organized at a high level. All the opportunities had been created for the students to demonstrate their knowledge.
It should be noted that, the “Open Door” days, held every week on Saturday, will be continued until the end of the exam session.
