Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Vice-Rector for Science Professor Sakit Yagubov spoke about the importance of the event.
Then academician Ali Abbasov, head of the Department of Digital Technologies and Applied Informatics, and Shahnaz Shahbazova, professor of the department, made a speech about the life and scientific activity of Lotfi Zadeh.
Janusz Kacprzyk, professor of the Institute of Systems Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Oscar Castillo, professor of the Tijuana Institute of Technology, Mexico, Vadim Stefanyuk, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Valentina Emilia Balas and Marius M. Balas, professors of the Aurel Vlaicu University of Romania, who joined the international scientific seminar online, made a speech on the topic with the presentation.
Speakers presented their reports titled “Scientific legacy of Lotfi Zadeh: development of mathematics, systems theory, decision-making, control”, “Calculations with words as one of Zade’s legacies: rich history and bright future”, “Fuzzy Type-3 System as a Natural Evolution of Type-1 Type-2”, “Interaction with the use of qualitative information”, “Lotfi Zadeh and his Romanian friends”, “Space and time in traffic control” to the participants of the seminar.
The seminar attended by foreign and local scientists was organized by the department of Coordination and Organization of Research Centers, the UNECD Research Center for Digital Economy, and the faculty of Digital Economy.
