In the 2024–2025 academic year, the number of international students admitted to UNEC has increased fourfold compared to the figures from the past decade. This remarkable growth serves as clear evidence of UNEC’s enhanced educational quality and growing global appeal.
Of the 204 international students admitted this year, 170 are pursuing undergraduate studies, 32 are enrolled in master’s programs, and 3 are doctoral candidates.
Among these students, 161 were admitted through non-governmental funding, 6 through Intergovernmental Agreements, 5 under the Heydar Aliyev State Grant, and 32 through the State Examination Center (DİM). Furthermore, one student is enrolled at UNEC under a dual-degree program in collaboration with Ege University in Turkey.
Currently, UNEC hosts nearly 500 international students from a diverse range of countries, including China, the United States, Russia, Turkey, Israel, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, and others.
