Scientific Session dedicated to the 93rd Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s Birthday is held at UNEC
A scientific session dedicated to the 93rd Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s Birthday has been held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on May 6.
Laying flowers at the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s bust, the event participants paid tribute to Great Leader’s memory with a minute’s silence.
Afterwards, the exhibition of paintings devoted to our Great Leader by the students of UNEC’s Faculty Technology and Design was displayed. It was said the students’ handworks were introduced in the art competition held on “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan’s Modern Development”.
Rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov has a brief look at the meaningful way of life passed by the Great Leader. He said that the foundation stone for the development of our fastest-growing Azerbaijan was put during the early stages by the Great Leader. We are heavily indebted to our National Leader for Azerbaijan’s place among the dynamic growing countries overcoming the deep crisis in the years of independence.
Rector noted that the foundation of public welfare provision and strengthening population’s social protection was namely laid by the National Leader. The main purpose of today’s scientific session is to have a scientific glance to the social policy of Azerbaijan established by the genius personality. Adalat Muradov highlighted that UNEC that is ambitious to become scientific-research- oriented institute, will contribute to studying the Great Leader’s social policy.
Chairman of Labor and Social Policy Commission of Milli Majlis (Parliament) Hadi Rajabli pointed that the newly launched political course had influenced the social policy by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to power. The formation of the independent state’s social policy in relation with the transition to market economy was reviewed as an integral part of the country’s complex development. Despite the different opinions put forward on Azerbaijan’s advancement from the model during the transition to a new economic system, Heydar Aliyev identified the establishment of a social national economy as the main strategy formed on the basis of market economy. Emphasizing the characteristic features of the social policy laid by the Great Leader, H.Rajabli drawn to attention the sustainability of this policy, its dependence on the country’s economic basis and the normative-legal base proven by the perfect world economy. Having regard to the history of social policy started by the Great Leader, H.Rajabli spoke about the country’s getting out of recession, important steps taken in the field of social policy after the provision of internal stability and listed the successful reforms.
Head of the Department of the UNEC’s Scientific-research Institute of Economic Studies Rashad Huseynov made a speech on “The Heydar Aliyev Epoch of the Social Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
Then the Chairman of Labor and Social Policy Commission of Milli Majlis (Parliament) Hadi Rajabli presented the book “Out of Stability to Social Well-being” to UNEC’s library.
