Series of events held at UNEC in connection with the 93rd Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s Birthday
A series of events in connection with the 93rd Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s Birthday was held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) staff visited the Honorary Cemetery in relation with the 93rd Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s Birthday to pay tribute to the Great Leader’s grave. They laid a wreath and bunch of flowers at HeaydarAliyev’s tomb paying tribute to the architect and founder of independent state of Azerbaijan.
Within the events an exhibition-conference on “Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s personal books gifted by to the National Library of the Republic of Azerbaijan” dedicated to the 93rd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birthday has been organized by UNEC and the National Library of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Then a glance to the books gifted by Heydar Aliyev to the National Library was made. During the exhibition-conference UNEC Rector, Professor AdalatMuradov emphasized the importance of studying the National Leader’s way of life, his wealthy heritage by today’s youth. He said the development of libraries as an integral part of the national culture was of great importance by Heydar Aliyev. The Director of the National Library of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Professor KerimTahirov spoke about the attention and care paid by the Great Leader in the development of Azerbaijan culture and delivering our preserved cultural wealth for future generations.
Within the scientific session dedicated to social policy Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov noted that the foundation of public welfare provision and strengthening population’s social protection was namely laid by the National Leader. The main purpose of today’s scientific session is to have a scientific glance to the social policy of Azerbaijan established by the genius personality. Adalat Muradov highlighted that UNEC that is ambitious to become scientific-research- oriented institute, will contribute to studying the Great Leader’s social policy. Making a speech, Chairman of Labor and Social Policy Commission of Milli Majlis (Parliament) Hadi Rajabli pointed that the newly launched political course had influenced the social policy by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to power. The formation of the independent state’s social policy in relation with the transition to market economy was reviewed as an integral part of the country’s complex development.
Conferences, scientific seminars, round-table discussions attended by the academic staff, as well as the young researcher, undergraduate and graduate students were also held on the occasion of the 93rd Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s Birthday in all UNEC Faculties. The Great Leader’s role in Azerbaijan economy, the achievements gained in the republic during his leadership and the visionary and purposeful policy implemented on the path to building democratic and legal state by the great politician were spoken about within the events.
UNEC’s academic staff and the students have also participated in the social campaigns dedicated to the 93rd Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s Birthday. Chess tournaments and intellectual competitions among the teachers and students were also realized.
Interesting paintings consisting of the students’ handworks were displayed on “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan’s Modern Development” within the art gallery held by the School of Technology Design.
The project of “Reading time” jointly held by the School of Finance and Financial Institutions Marketing and Communication Department was of great interest among the events. The teachers and the students of the university were reading and sharing their views on the books. The project is targeted to increase the students’ attention to reading, develop their reading skills with the teaching staff and include the book to all fields of our life.
In addition, the School of Economics and Industry and the Student Youth Organization prepared Video. The teaching and student staffs spoke about the Great Leader’s contributions to Azerbaijan in the video “We are His Followers”.
Radio- films “Heydar’s Life”, “A Genius Personality”, “Highest Peak” were sounded on Radio UNEC.
Films about the Great Leader’s life and activities were demonstrated in all monitors placed in the main academic building of UNEC.
