IX Republic- wide Olympiad devoted to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s memory on “Taxes” is being held among the undergraduate and graduate students by Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and the Ministry of Taxes on December 4. About 300 undergraduate and graduate students from 14 higher schools of the country are participating in the Olympiad.
Before the event the participants have laid flowers at the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev’s bust erected in the hall of UNEC and honored the Great Leader’s memory with a minute’s silence.
Attending the event, UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov expressed success to the participants of the IX Republic-wide Olympiad. Rector noted the important role of project realized by the Ministry of Taxes in the development of young personnel meeting the requirements of the labor market.
Rector also said that UNEC took place among TOP- 5000 Universities of the globe in the International Ranking List Webometrics for the first time and became the first among the universities of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Saying “Our goal is to see UNEC among the world- class universities”, Rector noted that the university has enough potential to achieve this. Speaking about the close ties between the Ministry of Taxes and the University, Rector especially emphasized the fact that ten best students of UNEC will be provided with workplaces at the Ministry of Taxes within the cooperation.
Deputy Minister of Taxes Alakbar Mammadov said our country has reached the level of the leading states in the region and the world as a result of the economic reforms carried out under the excellent guidance of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and established by our Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Already for 9 years undergraduate and graduate students of higher schools participate in this Olympiad with great enthusiasm. Most of the participants then pass through the selection process to tax bodies and achieve success then are provided with workplaces.
The participants will take online testing prepared in the Training Center of the Ministry of Taxes during the Olympiad. Individual question base is drawn up for each student. The results will be evaluated via special software under the control of the Training Center’s experts with the participation of the jury consisting of the representatives of participant higher schools.
