The 7th International Social and Economic Studies Student Conference’s opening ceremony has been jointly organized by the Economics Faculty of the Turkish World of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (EFTW) and the Selçuk University of Turkey.
MPs, the academic staff of both universities and bachelor’s, master’s and PhD students studying social sciences participated in the conference.
Dean of EFTW Professor Mehmet Yüce spoke about the importance of holding the conference. He said the conference will create an opportunity for global networking among the participants by promoting international cooperation. M. Yüce pointed out that about 100 research papers were submitted to the international scientific conference, and the best-selected articles will be published in “Journal of Social Economic Research” and “Journal of Selçuk University Social Sciences Institute”.
Then vice-rector for science and innovation Assoc. Professor Fariz Ahmadov, MPs, Prof. Jala Aliyeva, Mushfig Jafarov, chairman of the conference organizing committee prof. dr. Ahmet Ay spoke and wished success to the work of the conference.
After the opening speeches, Professor Mustafa Ersöz, a member of TÜBA, spoke on the topic “Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Turkish World: Steps Towards the Future” in the panel of the conference.
Then Selçuk University presented plaques to the speakers. The conference continued with interesting presentations of students on various topics.
The two-day international student conference ended on May 3.
