UNEC Debaters become Winners
The Baku Youth Debate Forum has been organized by the National Debate Program within the “Republic Youth Debate Forum: Summer 2017”.
The teams “rADIUS”, “Dollara-Manat” and “Monopoliya” on Azerbaijani sector and by “Pecat”, “Alpha” and “TTM” on Russian sector of the Student Youth Organization’s Debate Club represented UNEC in the Forum.
UNEC’s team “Pecat” (Mammad Abdullayev, Anar Mammadli and Nijat Safarov) on Russian sector become republic’s first in the final of the forum held on “The Role of Islamic Solidarity in Combat against the International Terrorism”.
The team “rADIUS” (Eyyub Amiraslanov, Ulviyya Akhundova and Rahila Mammadzade) that represented UNEC on Azerbaijani sector achieved second place.
UNEC debaters were also distinguished in the ranking of the best speaker of the “Republic Youth Debate Forum 2017”. Ulviyya Akhundova became II, Rahila Mammadzade IV in the nomination “Best Speaker” on Azerbaijani sector Umid Orujlu II and Nijat Safarov III on the Russian sector.
Note: Trainings, tournaments and forums on “Islamic Solidarity” have been held with the participation of 2000 young people in 11 regional center within the “Republic Youth Debate Forum: Summer 2017” jointly realized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Public Association “Civil Society Debate”. Young people who participate in the debate forums are able to protect Azerbaijan’s interests successfully in republican and international scope. Debates on the urgent topics for the country-economics, ecology, multiculturalism and other fields have been made within the forums held up to date; youth grounded their positions.
