A delegation from UNEC, comprising the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Doctor of Physical Sciences, Professor Rovnag Rzayev; Full Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Academician Adil Garibov; Director of UNEC’s Popularization of Science Research Center, PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor Etibar Aliyev; Head of the “Engineering and Applied Sciences” Department, Associate Professor Tural Naghiyev; and Director of UNEC’s Laboratory Operations Center, Associate Professor Ramil Sadigov, conducted meetings at the Lyceum specializing in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Humanities, as well as Secondary School No. 9 in Mingachevir.
The primary objective of the initiative is to foster the intellectual development and broaden the worldview of the younger generation while promoting the dissemination of scientific knowledge. By cultivating an interest in science from an early age, the project seeks to increase awareness of its significance and encourage youth participation in scientific endeavors.
During the meetings, students were provided with detailed information on the importance of science, modern technologies, and innovative advancements. Professor Rovnag Rzayev and Academician Adil Garibov elaborated on the societal impact of scientific research and its practical relevance to daily life. They emphasized the necessity of fostering a passion for science from an early age and underscored its critical role in the development of the nation.
Associate Professor Etibar Aliyev discussed strategies to involve young people in scientific research and provided compelling examples from various scientific disciplines. Associate Professors Tural Naghiyev and Ramil Sadigov delivered comprehensive presentations on the characteristics of engineering and applied sciences, highlighting innovations and emerging technologies within these fields.
The initiative was met with high praise from students and teachers, who commended the engaging and accessible approach to presenting science. They also underscored the importance of extending such initiatives to other educational institutions and ensuring their continued implementation.
