In his opening remarks, UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to ensuring transparency and objectivity in student assessments, emphasizing that this principle remains fundamental and unchanging. He further noted that the results of the 2024/2025 winter examination session were satisfactory.
During the meeting, the Director of the Examination Center, Tahir Badalov, presented a comprehensive report on the outcomes of the 2024/2025 winter examination session, highlighting that the knowledge of more than 17,000 students had been assessed. The highest success rate at the undergraduate level was recorded at the International School of Economics (ISE), achieving 93%. Mr. Badalov further noted a positive trend in academic performance compared to the previous year, stating that the overall success rate had increased from 74% to 78%, while the quality indicator had improved from 39% to 42%. He also emphasized that there had been a significant decrease in the number of appeals regarding exam results, as well as in cases of disciplinary violations.
Additionally, the Head of the Internship Organization Department, Leyla Nazirzada, presented newly developed regulations on the organization and implementation of industrial internships for undergraduate students at UNEC. These regulations were subsequently approved by the council members.
The meeting also featured a report by UNEC’s Scientific Secretary, Associate Professor Arabiyya Mustafayeva, on the implementation status of the Scientific Council’s decisions for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. A key decision was the establishment of the “Azerbaijan-Germany Center for Energy Science, Education, and Research”, based on the Cooperation Memorandum signed between UNEC and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Germany).
