As part of their business trip, Khalida Yusifova, Director of the Student Affairs Center; Sevinj Mahsimova, Director of the Inclusive Education Center; and Elnara Mammadova, Head of the Public Relations Department, held a meeting with the Rector of Yalova University, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahchekapili. During the meeting, the UNEC representatives provided a comprehensive overview of the university’s academic programs, its standing in global rankings, and its extensive international collaborations.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahchekapili commended UNEC’s achievements and emphasized the significance of establishing formal cooperation between the two institutions.
Following discussions on potential areas of collaboration, an agreement was reached to promote partnerships in economic disciplines as well as technical and technological fields. As a result, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahchekapili signed a memorandum of cooperation, outlining initiatives such as student and faculty exchange programs, joint publication of scientific articles, collaborative research projects, organization of joint conferences, and the implementation of various academic and professional projects.
The UNEC delegation also met with Omer Kaya, a representative of Yalova University’s Erasmus Office, to exchange information regarding international partner universities, existing exchange programs, and dual degree opportunities.
In addition, the delegation visited the Faculty of Economics and Management, where discussions were held with the Dean, Prof. Dr. Taner Tatar, concerning the establishment of cooperative ties between corresponding faculties.
The delegation also engaged with Rasim Chetik, Head of the Student Affairs Center at Yalova University, to gain insights into the center’s operations and share UNEC’s expertise in similar areas.
Concluding their visit, the UNEC representatives toured Yalova University’s facilities and infrastructure, guided by Dr. Ishak Turan, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of International Relations and Coordinator of Research Projects at Yalova University.
