The articles of students of UNEC’s International School of Economics (ISE) have been published in Q1 category journals included in the Scopus database.
The article “Expatriation and permanent emigration intention among youth in Azerbaijan” by ISE students Aysu Abbasova, Royala Alıshzadeh, Alsu Jafarova was published in “Journal of International Studies”. Students analysed the possible factors that form the tendency of temporary and permanent emigration among Azerbaijani youth.
Other students of ISE, Aysu Ahmadova, and Taghi Guliyev’s scientific article titled “The Relationship between Bitcoin and Nasdaq, U.S. Dollar Index and Commodities” was published in International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy. Using weekly prices over a period spanning 2017-2023, the students examined the long-term correlations between Bitcoin and the Nasdaq, the US dollar index and commodities.
Both articles were written under the scientific guidance of Khatai Aliyev, associate professor of the “International Economy and Business” department.
It should be noted that according to the decision of the Scientific Council, UNEC students whose scientific articles are published in international prestigious journals get a chance to earn up to 4500 manats.
