Memorandum Signed Between UNEC’s Sustainable Development and Green Economy Research Center and the Sustainable Development Center of Uzbekistan
The official visit of a delegation from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), led by Rector Professor Adalat Muradov, to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is ongoing.
As part of the visit, Rector Professor Adalat Muradov, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Programs Mr. Huseyn Hasanov, Director of the International Cooperation Department Ms. Afat Alakbarova, and Head of the Department for Coordination and Organization of Research Centers Ms. Rana Huseynova held a meeting at the Sustainable Development Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, chaired by Mr. Marifjan Usmanov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan’s Sustainable Development Center, UNEC representatives were briefed in detail about the activities of the center. Discussions were held on prospective areas of collaboration between the two institutions.
Following these discussions, a memorandum of cooperation was formalized between UNEC’s Nizami Ganjavi Sustainable Development and Green Economy Research Center and Uzbekistan’s Sustainable Development Center.
The memorandum, signed by Mr. Marifjan Usmanov, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Huseyn Hasanov, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Programs at UNEC, encompasses provisions for organizing joint scientific and practical projects. These projects will focus on studying the implementation of global and national development goals in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and other member states of the Organization of Turkic States. Furthermore, the memorandum outlines plans to organize international conferences and seminars, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and develop solutions to achieve national sustainable development goals. It also includes provisions for the publication of reports from international conferences, collective monographs, analytical materials, and other resources on critical and significant national development objectives. This cooperation aims to enhance scientific and practical efforts in the field of sustainable development, promoting innovation and knowledge sharing across participating institutions.
