A meeting of the Scientific Council of UNEC has been held.
At the first meeting held in the new year, the list of the new composition of the Scientific Council, approved by the relevant order of the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, was announced. The rector, Professor Adalat Muradov congratulated the members of the Council and wished them success in the implementation of their tasks.
In the council, vice-rector for education, associate professor Geray Musayev presented a report on the results of the self-analysis on the institutional accreditation of UNEC, which had been prepared on the basis of the “Regulations of accreditation of educational institutions” of the Cabinet of Ministers. The report presents information on the criteria, indicators, and recommendations presented by the Organizational Commission on accreditation. The report was approved by the Council members.
The Rector pointed out that a single model will be applied in faculty management at UNEC. For this purpose, it was proposed to establish a Council of Deans at the university. The proposal was accepted by voting.
In order to popularize science, promote scientific knowledge, achievements, and new scientific directions, and increase the interest of young people in science, it was proposed to create a Science Popularization Center at UNEC. The proposal was approved by the Council members.
The proposal to establish a UNEC Regional Research Center at the Zagatala branch of UNEC was voted on and accepted by the Council.
According to the decision of the Scientific Council, in order to further improve the social well-being of UNEC employees, their salaries were increased by 10%, and the additions to the salaries of program managers were increased by 17%. The average salary at UNEC became 1,296 manats, including 1,485 manats for teaching staff, and 1,115 manats for administrative and teaching assistants.
