UNEC Delegation Visits Budapest Business University
A delegation from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has undertaken an official visit to Hungary as part of its international collaboration efforts.
The delegation, comprising UNEC’s Vice-Rector for International Relations and Programs, Mr. Huseyn Hasanov; Head of the Internship Organization Department, Ms. Leyla Nazirzada; and Director of the Career Center, Ms. Sevinj Majid, visited Budapest Business University (Budapesti Gazdasági Egyetem, BGE).
The UNEC representatives engaged in discussions with prominent officials of BGE, including Ms. Dalma Horvath Ibolya, Deputy Director of the International Relations Department; Ms. Ágota Kiss, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting and Head of International Affairs; as well as other senior administrators and students.
During the meetings, discussions centered on establishing cooperation between the two institutions in several key areas, including student exchange programs, the development of joint projects, and initiatives to facilitate UNEC students’ participation in Hungarian government scholarship programs. It was agreed to identify suitable academic disciplines and involve researchers to foster collaborative efforts in scientific research between the two universities.
The parties also exchanged experiences on achieving success in international university rankings, with a view to leveraging their mutual expertise to enhance their institutional standings globally. As part of the visit, UNEC academic staff delivered guest lectures to BGE students on topics such as Marketing, Career Planning, Soft Skills, and Hard Skills, sharing practical insights and fostering knowledge exchange.
The delegation further toured BGE’s academic facilities, including lecture halls, seminar rooms, and libraries, and gained an overview of the university’s infrastructure and various social projects designed to enhance the educational environment for students.
