The title of the “UNEC’s Honorary Professor” will be awarded to people who occupied leading or scientific-pedagogical position in the field of education, made special contributions to the development of highly-skilled personnel and the university’s scientific-pedagogical, teaching database and in the implementation of new technologies. At the same time, employees of the other higher education institutions, specialists who work for the state bodies and the visiting professors of UNEC can receive the title.
The title of “UNEC’s Honorary Professor” could be applied to people who possess the Degrees of Dr. or PhD, with less than15 years of pedagogical experience and printed scientific and methodological works above 70 years old.
Firstly, the Department will have to present a petition for rewarding the title of the “UNEC’s Honorary Professor”. Before the petition, the candidate should address to the rector with the relevant application. The application will be sent to the head of the department and to be discussed within the session of the department. If a decision on awarding the title is made, the application will be signed by the head of the department and sent to the scientific secretary of the faculty to be reviewed by the Faculty’s Academic Board. In case of a positive decision by the Board, a reference will be issued and signed by the Dean. The Dean carries responsibility for the candidate’s awarding “UNEC’s Honorary Professor”. The candidate will submit the documents to the rector and the issue is discussed by the Academic Board for 2 months. After the documents are approved to meet the requirements the matter will be included in the Academic Board’s agenda. The Certificate of “UNEC’s Honorary Professor” will be presented to the Candidate within the Academic Board’s session after it is signed by the Rector and Scientific Secretary.
The person received the title of “UNEC’s Honorary Professor” can be deprived of this title. In this case, the decision is made by the rector, in accordance with the Academic Board’s decision and is announced to the person who is deprived of the title.
