The results of the 1st grant competition of UNEC are announced: “Communication problem in University-State-Industry relations: Who wants what”
The results of the research project “Communication problem in University-State-Industry (UDS) relations: Who wants what” have been presented as the winner of the 1st grant competition of UNEC.
The event was attended by the rector of UNEC Professor Adalat Muradov, Member of Parliament, Head of UNEC Science Popularization Center Etibar Aliyev, UNEC Research Foundation President Farhad Amirbayov, representatives of science and educational institutions.
Rector Adalat Muradov pointed out that the grant competition was held for the first time at the expense of UNEC’s internal funds, and noted that the assessment of 6 projects implemented in the competition was carried out by an institution outside the university. Talking about the relevance of the topic of the winning project, the rector expressed his gratitude to the researchers of the UNEC Empirical Research Center and the UNEC Research Center for Knowledge Economy, who implemented the project. The Rector said that USI relations are not satisfactory, that analyses were conducted in this direction during the research, and the results of the research will be presented in the form of a book to universities, scientific research institutes of ANAS and MSE, and representatives of the relevant private sector.
MP Etibar Aliyev spoke about the importance of involving universities in grant projects and expanding USI relations. He drew attention to the importance of the continuity of the conducted research in terms of the creation of new projects.
Associate professor Altay Ismayilov, head of the UNEC Research Center for Knowledge Economy, and project manager, highlighted the important points related to the research. He emphasized the lack of communication in USI relations and spoke about the importance of developing products based on knowledge and innovation.
The head of the UNEC Empirical Research Center, head of the department, associate professor Khatai Aliyev made a report about the implemented project, he spoke about the existing problems in USI relations and their solutions, as well as the conducted surveys and analyses. According to the results of the analysis, the problem in University-State-Industry relations is mainly caused by mistrust between the parties and dependence on historical trajectories.
After the presentation, questions related to the research were answered and suggestions were made. The event continued with discussions on establishing communication in University-State-Industry (USI) relations.
