During the next visit, Associate Professor Musayev Garay, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, faculty staff, Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee Rufat Suleymanli, and students met with the family of martyred graduate Suleyman Garayev.
Faculty dean, Assoc. Geray Musayev expressed his gratitude to the martyr’s parents for raising a heroic son like Suleiman, and said that he bowed before the spirit of such brave sons. He said that along with the martyrs, their families are dear and valuable to the UNEC team. G. Musayev spoke about the righteous war waged by our victorious army under the leadership of Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev during the 44-day war, and about meeting the eternal and eternal owners of our occupied lands. He emphasized that every inch of our freed land is a chronicle of heroism written with the blood and soul of an Azerbaijani soldier. In order to perpetuate the dear memory of the martyrs at UNEC, the audience said that their names will be given, a memorial complex will be erected and other measures will be implemented.
Abdulkarim Sadigov, the deputy dean of the faculty and Suleyman Garayev’s teacher, shared his memories about his student. He said that he was an exemplary and responsible student, loved by his teachers and fellow students.
Suleyman’s parents, mother Tarana Khanum and father Alibakhish Aliyev, told the UNEC staff about their children’s life path. Suleyman was born on July 3, 1995 in Galagayin village of Sabirabad district. Süleyman, who received his secondary education in Sabirabad, attended school with excellent grades and won the mathematics Olympiad. In 2012, he was admitted to the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing of UNEC, and was selected for his activity during his student days. He was the representative of the group, the chairman of the Faculty of the Trade Union. He knew English and Russian. After graduating from the university, he was born and raised in Sabirabad district, where he started working, and started a family in 2017. He has 2 sons.
On September 21, S. Garayev, who voluntarily went to the front, fought heroically for the liberation of our lands in the Patriotic War, and on October 7, he rose to the peak of martyrdom in the battles for Aghdam region.
S.Garayev was buried in the village of Galagayin, Sabirabad district, where he was born. After his death, according to the order of the President, he was awarded the “For the Fatherland” medal.
At the meeting, the wife of the martyr, Mrs. Shalala, said that Suleyman was a perfect person, a wonderful family man, and a caring father.
At the meeting, UNEC Student Trade Union Committee Chairman Rufat Suleymanli presented the Honorary Decree of THIK and a memorial gift specially prepared for the martyr to the martyr’s family.
