In her address, Ms. Maharramova elaborated on the ecological challenges arising from globalization, the imperative of maintaining ecological balance, the importance of environmental protection, and the pressing issues prevailing in the ecological sphere. Additionally, she highlighted the projects implemented by the Center under her leadership in this domain, drawing the attention of participants to their significance.
The panel discussion underscored the pivotal role of anthropogenic factors in accelerating the transition to a green economy and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering an environmentally conscious society. Discussions further explored the decisive impact of human activities on the sustainability of ecosystems in the context of global challenges, including climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation.
The panel, which was also attended by representatives from UNEC’s Department for Coordination and Organization of Research Centers, concluded with the presentation of practical proposals for expediting the transition to a green economy.
