At the international conference on “Rethinking University Libraries in the 100th Anniversary of the Republic” attended by more than 500 library information and technology specialists from many countries of the world, UNEC was represented by the director of the Library-Information Center, Ph.D. in History Adila Abdullayeva.
The impact of artificial intelligence tools on university libraries, corporate academic publications, open scientific databases, new learning platforms and models, the use of databases, the activity of library consortia, information sustainability, the creation of digital archives, and the implementation of new technological solutions in libraries were discussed at the conference.
There was a wide presentation at the conference about the activities of the UNEC Library Information Center. During the presentation, participants were informed about UNEC’s electronic library, access to local and international electronic resources, rich book funds in 4 languages, and other innovations.
Within the framework of the conference, meetings were also held with representatives of scientific databases and digital libraries of prestigious partners such as Sage, Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, EBSCO, SOBIAD, and IEEE Xplore.
The conference will continue until November 24.
