The Assistant Professor of the Department of International Economics of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Doctor of Economy, “Fulbright” Scholar Muslim Ibrahimov has made a speech on “Azerbaijan: Developing Links between Central Asian countries and Europe” for the academic staff, students and other guests of West Texas A&M University of Texas State.
He has spoken about the socio- economic development trends affecting the conversion of Azerbaijan into a stable political and economic country; analyzed main factors on the direction of strengthening economic and trade relations between the countries of Europe and Asia. In addition, the information about the geo-economics of the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan’s history, domestic and foreign policy, culture and other directions of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been delivered.
Considerable space has been dedicated to the events of Nagorno-Karabakh and Khojali genocide during the report. The participants are informed about the Eurovision Song Contest held in Azerbaijan in 2012 and First European Games held in 2015.
The event was attended by the students of West Texas A&M University who are the citizens of Turkey, Kazakhstan and Russia.
