Our respected rector Adalat Muradov has always paid great attention to teaching English. As a result of this care, many students freely represent UNEC outside of the country by mastering this language perfectly.
While making a speech, acting director of the department of “Foreign languages” prof. Afet Abbasova noted that the 23rd of April was the birth and death date of a great English playwright, writer William Shakespeare, at the event, attended by students from all faculties of UNEC. English is a language of international communication as one of the 6 major UN languages. Only mastering this language, we can easily integrate into the world economy, politics and science. In present day English has become a political and business language. Main scientific and medical researches are held in English, too.
At ongoing event with interesting program and participation of students there were virtual travel to the university and a presentation explaining UNEC′s priorities to conditional enrollees. In the presentation enrollees coming to UNEC as a guest were informed in English about the advantages of UNEC. In a small scene there was given information on organization of education in four languages, dual program, exchange programs, quality of education and facilities created for students.
During the event with the participation of students from the Russian School of Economics, the dialogues of Romeo and Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet” were performed by students of the 633rd group. The student of the faculty of “Technology and Design” group 787 Melek Khalilova was greatly welcomed with the song “What’s a Youth” from ” Romeo and Juliette “. 456th group student Turkan Aliyeva, 464th group student Aysel performed a part of Hamlet′s monologue from “Hamlet” by W. Shakespeare. Songs played “Pretty woman”, “The Power of Words”, ″Who are you”, “Let her go”, “Yesterday” and “Sarı gelin” added special color to the event.
Presidential scholars of UNEC the students of International School of Economics performed a part from the film “Beyin ogurlanmasi” in English.
