The academic-teaching staff and students of UNEC visited “Guba Genocide Memorial Complex”
The team of academic-teaching staff and students of UNEC have visited “Guba Genocide Memorial Complex” on 30.03.2019
During the visit, lectors and students have been acquainted with a number of archival documents, many historical pictures by a guide and witnessed Armenian brutality.
After the visit, the UNEC team held a Student Scientific Conference “March 31st – The Genocide of Azerbaijanis: Causes and Results”, dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the 1918th Azerbaijani Genocide, at Guba Training, Sport and Recreation Complex of the university.
The vice-rector for Student Affairs Assist. Prof. Seadet Gandilova welcomed the conference participants and gave the students detailed information about the March 31st Genocide of Azerbaijanis.
Then, dean of the faculty of “Expertise and Standardization” Assist. Prof. Tofig Osmanov, Assist. Prof. of “Economics and Management of Social Sector” department, Ph.D. Elshan Mammadov made thorough speeches and conference reporters were given the floor. Senior lecturer of “Humanitarian disciplines” department, Ph.D.in History Jamila Hasanova, Assist. Professor of the Department of “Azerbaijani Language”, Can.of Phil. Aynur Gadimalieva and students of the Faculty of Economics Fuad Aliyev, Gunay Aliyeva, Aynur Osmanli and Ruslan Guliyev made reports on various topics related to genocide at the conference.
In the end, dean of the faculty of Economics, Assist. Prof. Asiman Guliyev delivered a detailed speech on the genocide of Azerbaijanis and closed the conference.
