UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov met with the graduates of the prestigious overseas higher school on July 15.
A.Muradov spoke about the activity directions of the university, achievements gained recently and strategic targets of the institution. He said that the implementation of the new quality standard “Electronic University Model” has been started at UNEC is considered the biggest educational institution of the region of economic profile and conducting teaching in three languages. Rector talked about the introduction of Differential Salary System contributing to the process of modernization of higher education in the country and the evaluation of realized projects made by the international rating organizations. He noted that as a result of the work done at the university UNEC maintains its leading position among the universities of Azerbaijan in according to the report made by the organization which determines the ranking of the world universities. The University is listed among 200 best universities of the region, being the 4th among the Developing European and Central Asian universities.
Saying “We want the name “Narkhoz” to be taken out of the university”, A.Muradov highlighted that the University of Economics was branded.
He added “UNEC” is a brand of the University of Economics. We are pleased with the success achieved, but not fully satisfied. Our main goal is to see UNEC among the world-class universities. Rector stressed that UNEC needs young professionals to achieve its targets. To this end he spoke about the projects “young teacher” and “young professors” implemented at the university. Rector informed that about 200 young instructors who are alumni of the world’s prestigious universities were involved to UNEC and the process is to be continued in the future.
Expressing hıs desıre to exchange vıews wıth the students studıed abroad and want to contınue the actıvıtıes at UNEC, Rector heard the participants’ requirements and proposals.
Young people graduated from the prestigious European universities and employed in different positions of the state and private sector expressed their interest for cooperation with UNEC, intention to work as the pedagogical and administrative staff of the university. They noted that they are interested in conducting classes in Finance, Marketing, Management and other majors in English, Azerbaijan and Russian. The youth stressed their desire on teaching especially at the International School of Economics, UNEC Business School and SABAH Groups.
A.Muradov said that UNEC which intends to heighten to the list of world-class universities is interested in cooperating with the skilled young people. We shall continue these ties in the future. Rector noted that he is ready to meet with the youth regularly, to hear views on university and promised to evaluate their proposals in a short period of time.
