UNEC pays tribute to its martyrs: Mazdak Eyvazli

UNEC staff visited the grave of Mazdak Eyvazli, a graduate of UNEC, martyred in the Patriotic War.

Acting Dean of the Faculty of Digital Economy, Assoc. Elman Jafarov, head of the department of engineering and applied sciences, prof. Rovnag Rzayev, Chairman of UNEC Student Trade Union Committee Rufat Suleymanli and students, together with Ali Eyvazov, the father of the martyr Mazdak Eyvazli, who graduated in 2017 with a degree in “Technological Machines and Equipment Engineering”, laid flowers in front of his grave in Shahidlar Alley of Lokbatan settlement and paid tribute to his dear memory. they did.

Then the UNEC team visited the martyr’s family and listened to Mazdak’s mother, Mrs. Gulnara, about her son. The mother said that Mazdak is a kind, quiet, patriotic son, and said that his son’s birthday coincided with the February 26 Khojaly genocide, so he never celebrated his birthday. Gulnara khanim, who said that she always cherished her homeland more than anyone else, said that Mazdak, the only son of the family, went to the front after the beginning of the Patriotic War, only informing his father. He said that his friends and band mates created a fountain monument in the yard where he lived to perpetuate the dear memory of Mazdak.

Professor Rovnag Rzayev and associate professor Elman Jafarov thanked his parents for raising a heroic son like Mazdak and shared memorable events from his student years. They said that Mazdak is a well-educated, educated, hardworking student.

At the meeting, the UNEC Honorary Decree was presented to the family of the martyr.

Mazdak Eyvazli

Mazdak Eyvazli was born on February 26, 1996 in Baku. In 2002-2013, he received secondary education at school No. 288 located in Lokbatan settlement. In 2013-2017, he received a bachelor’s degree in “Technological machinery and equipment engineering” at the Faculty of Technology and Design of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).

He was in active military service in 2017-2018.

He was voluntarily registered for mobilization during the Tovuz battles in July 2020. Mazdak Eyvazli, who was called for mobilization on September 21, 2020, went to the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, after a few days of military training. On October 29, he was heroically martyred in the battles for the liberation of Fuzuli.

He was buried in the Alley of Martyrs located in Lokbatan settlement of Baku city.

Mazdak Eyvazli was posthumously awarded the “For the Motherland” and “For the Liberation of Khojavend” medals for honorably fulfilling his duties during the execution of the tasks assigned to the military unit.
