The research work of UNEC students dedicated to renewable energy is in “Web of Science”
An article co-authored by a lecturer and students of UNEC’s International School of Economics (ISE) has been published in the journal “Economic and Social Changes: Facts, Trends, Forecast” included in the Web of Science (Emerging Sources Citation Index) database.
In the article entitled “Modeling Renewable Electricity Production in Azerbaijan”, fourth-year students of ISE Emin Rustamli and Ravan Mammadli, as well as instructor Ibrahim Niftiyev performed linear modeling of renewable electricity production in Azerbaijan.
The scientific article studies the dynamics of economic, institutional and political measures that play an important role in the establishment of green energy in Azerbaijan between 1990 and 2021 using an econometric method. The rapid energy transition currently taking place in the economy of Azerbaijan and the interest of universities in this process led to the creation of such a scientific article. The article, with its approach and results, is useful for public policy, decision makers, as well as academic staffs of universities. The article was published in English and Russian on the official page of the journal.
The scientific research also covers the 7th goal (Efficient and Clean Energy) and 13th goal (Combating Climate Change) of Sustainable Development.
