Professor Dr Manafov Gabil Nadir<\/span><\/h4>\n

Born in 1952 in Baku.<\/p>\n

In 1974 graduated from the\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after D.Bunyadzadeh, specialty \u201cPolitical economy\u201d. <\/strong>After the graduation he worked as an economist at the Scientific-Research Institute under the State Planning Committee.<\/p>\n

In 1975 he served in the army.<\/p>\n

In 1976 he became a full-time post graduate student of the Economic Institute of the Academy of Sciences on \u201cPolitical Economy\u201d. In 1980-1982, after the post-graduation, he worked as a laboratory assistant at the Department of \u201cPolitical Economy\u201d of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute. .<\/p>\n

Since 1982 he has been working at the Department of \u201cEconomic Theory\u201d of the Azerbaijan Institute of the National Economy (current Azerbaijan State University of Economics) as a senior laboratory assistant, lecturer, senior lecturer, Assistant Professor; currently he is a Professor of the department.<\/p>\n

In 1982 he defended his Candidate\u2019s paper on \u201cPolitical Economy\u201d (present \u201cEconomic theory\u201d), in 2003 his Doctor\u2019s dissertation. He is the author of more than 90 scientific articles. In 2004-2007 \u00a0 he became a member of the Expert Council on \u201cEconomy and Law\u201d of Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the AzerbaijanRepublic.<\/p>\n

In 2009-2014 he worked as a Dean of the Faculty \u201cCommerce\u201d.
\nBeginning from April, 2014 he is a Director of the Master Center of\u00a0University of Economics.<\/p>\n

From April 2014 to September 2022, he worked as the director of the Master’s Center of UNEC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently he is a Chairman of the Permanent Scientific Workshop under the Dissertation Council of\u00a0University of Economics, member of the Dissertation Council.<\/p>\n

According to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed on September 26 2011, he was awarded the title of “Honored Teacher” for his contributions made in the development of Azerbaijan education.<\/p>\n

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 24, 2020, he was awarded “Tataggi” medal on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of\u00a0 Azerbaijan State University of Economics and for his services to the development of education in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

He is married, has got two children.<\/p>\n
